01
When an AI voice makes sense
An AI voice is a good fit when your video has no usable audio, when you are shy on camera, or when you want to explain something over footage. It also helps when you want to reach followers in a second language through a translated voice-over.
It is a weaker fit when your face and real voice are the point, such as a personal story or a testimonial. People follow some accounts for the person. In those cases, your own voice is usually the better choice.
02
Write for the ear, not the eye
Text that reads well can sound stiff when spoken. Say each line out loud before you rely on it.
- Use short sentences with one idea each.
- Start with the point. Say what the Reel is about in the first line.
- Write numbers and names the way you would say them.
- Avoid long lists and parentheses.
- Cut anything you would not say to a customer standing in front of you.
03
Choosing among voice types
InstaLoad offers 18 voices in English and Brazilian Portuguese, grouped as women, men, funny and commercial. Pick for fit, not for novelty.
A calm voice suits a clinic or a wellness brand. A commercial voice suits a promotion or an announcement. A funny voice suits light content, and only if your brand is playful. Listen to a few with your actual script before you decide.
Stay with the same voice across Reels so your account sounds like one brand.
04
Add music under the voice
Music can make a Reel feel finished, but the voice must stay clear. InstaLoad lowers your music automatically while the voice speaks, then brings it back up.
InstaLoad has a music library made for Reels, with a 20-second preview of every track. This matters: music you do not have permission for can cause problems with Instagram or the rights holder, so using the library avoids that.
05
Be open that the voice is AI, and how InstaLoad does it
AI voices are labelled as AI inside InstaLoad. You are responsible for telling your audience where rules require it, so check the rules that apply to you and consider a short note in the caption.
To make a voice-over, upload an MP4 or MOV, let the AI transcribe it and choose short vertical clips, then switch on the optional voice-over. Captions are burned in, in one of 6 styles, and you can mute the original sound.
Reels are included in every plan. Each clip costs 10 credits, plus 5 more with a voice-over, and every plan includes monthly credits (50, 100 or 400). A Reel that fails costs nothing. If a name or word is wrong, you can correct it twice per Reel for free. Saying a corrected line again with the voice costs 2 credits.
Questions
Do I need a special plan for AI voice-over?
No. Reels, including the optional AI voice-over, are included in every plan. Credits are the limit: Starter has 50 a month, Pro 100 and Business 400, which is about 3, 6 or 26 clips with a voice-over.
How many credits does a voice-over cost?
A clip costs 10 credits, and adding a voice-over costs 5 more. So a clip with a voice-over uses 15 credits.
Can the AI voice pronounce my brand name correctly?
InstaLoad has a glossary that protects brand names, and you can correct wrong words in the captions. Corrections cost nothing for the first two updates per Reel, unless the voice must say the line again, which costs 2 credits.
Can I use any song I like under the voice?
Pick a track from the InstaLoad music library, which is made for Reels. You can hear a 20-second preview of every track first.
